職人の手で金属を鍛える「鍛造製法」とは？

鍛造リングとは、金属を圧縮して塊にし、そこからハンマーやプレス機などで圧力を加え、リングの形に仕上げていく手法です。古くから刃物や武具、金物などの製造技法として用いられてきた、伝統的な職人技となります。

金属が鍛えられ、ギュッと引き締まることで密度が高くなるため、通常の鋳造（キャスト）リングに比べ、キズや変形などに対し約３倍の強度があります。
